About Surface Art - Claire Tolhurst
Surface Art is the creation of an idea by Claire Tolhurst, based in Bury St Edmunds.
With an interest in Art from an early age, Claire followed her creative side through college and into University. At Art College she undertook a BTEC National Diploma in art and design, and successfully went on to complete a modular degree in art and design at University.
Having created numerous art paintings, sketches and sculpture for a number of friends and clients, she has found a unique way of using her skills to create artworks suitable for home walls to children’s day nurseries and commercial properties.
Claire uses a variety of art media to bring your artwork to life, from acrylic/water based paints to pencils, pastels or inks. A mural can take anywhere from a day up to a week to complete, depending upon the scale and detail of the artwork. Costs also depend upon the scale and detail of the artwork, and will be prepared for you after an initial meeting to discuss and scope the project.
But remember it is not just children’s bedrooms that can have unique artworks – other rooms such as dining or living rooms can too! And don’t forget the furniture!
